Tessa’s Story – Baby Loss Awareness Week

Tessa’s Story

Tessa’s Story

When we found out that I was pregnant in October 2021, we were both excited and ever so nervous. As this was my first pregnancy I didn’t know what to expect.

I had a perfect textbook pregnancy, however, a few times I had a little niggle or something that didn’t seem quite right, but all was good. All of my scans were perfect and then we found out we were having a little girl – we were over the moon!

Sadly, in March 2022, we lost our precious Carley – with no cause found. I didn’t feel normal movements one day, so went to get checked over. When we were told that no heartbeat could be found, we were absolutely shattered.

On 21st March 2022, our little angel was born sleeping at 25 weeks. We were grateful to have had the opportunity to spend as much time with her as we needed and wanted.

Nothing could have ever prepared us for this. We have grieved and we are still grieving, but we know that we have a special little angel looking down on us and, our Carley will always be a part of us.

Stillborn. But, still born.
