We are so sorry to hear of any parent or family that has experienced pregnancy or baby loss.


Going through this has been especially hard during the past year and whatever your experience, the Alliance charities are here to support you.

UK Bereavement Support


These organisations provide bereavement support and information to parents who have experienced pregnancy and baby loss anywhere in the UK. Some of these organisations provide support depending on your specific experience, and others provide support for bereavement generally.

Aching Arms – offer support to recently and longer ago bereaved parents after a loss during pregnancy, birth or infancy.

Alternatives Listening Rooms – Dundee-based charity supporting  parents who have a lost a baby at any stage of pregnancy or at birth with counselling and support that is free and confidential.
Support can be face to face, telephone online or webchat.

Children of Jannah– supporting bereaved parents who experience baby loss, holding at their core the Muslim belief that all children who die enter Heaven (called Jannah in Arabic).

Daisy’s Dream – professional support service which responds to the needs of children and their families affected by life threatening illness or bereavement. Available in Berkshire, the surrounding areas and East Cheshire.
Please note: the service is primarily focused on the children in a family, they are sadly unable to support parents unless there are already older children in the family.

The Lily Mae Foundation – is a UK registered charity providing much needed support to parents and families who have lost a baby to stillbirth, neonatal death, miscarriage or medical termination.

Tommy’shealth information for parents-to-be, and funding for research into the causes of pregnancy loss.


If you have non-urgent questions, they have developed Tommy’s Midwife, a skill for Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa that answers many pregnancy queries, including some about COVID-19.

Twins Trust – the Twins Trust Bereavement Support Group (BSG) exists to support all parents and carers of multiples who have experienced loss whether it was during pregnancy, at birth or at any point afterwards. Butterflies Bereavement Support (Hampshire, Isle of Wight and West Sussex) – Providing bereavement care and support to individuals and families. Counselling and listening sessions available, along with virtual group chats, telephone and Face time support opportunities.
