Mamoosia’s Story

Mamoosia’s Story

I have two daughters, and with those pregnancies, I had no complications. So, I was shocked when I found out I was pregnant again, 11 months postpartum. My husband and I were excited, but I wasn’t sure how far along I was.

At my first OB appointment, the baby measured five weeks, and I was told to return for another check-up. At seven weeks, the day after Thanksgiving, I noticed bleeding and clots. I didn’t have cramps or other symptoms, but I knew something wasn’t right.

My OB confirmed I’d had a miscarriage. I was given three options: wait it out, take medication, or have a D&C. I chose to wait, and two weeks later, I was still pregnant.

However, my period came soon after, and I had heavy bleeding, but nothing alarming. I felt relieved when my OB confirmed everything had cleared. Running helped me heal emotionally. Though I still feel the loss, I now see this baby as a gift, giving me strength. Kindly check mamoosia.com which is an archive of miscarriage stories, I am building.
