Natasha’s Story – Baby Loss Awareness Week

Natasha’s Story

Natasha’s Story

In October 2012, after a miscarriage which I had six months prior, I found out that I was pregnant. After 12 weeks, I was back and forth to hospital with on-and-off bleeding and was put on antibiotics for infections. However, the baby looked healthy and was wriggling away on scans, so that reassured us.

Then, on 14/03/2013, at 21 weeks, my waters broke. I rushed straight to the Royal Jubilee Maternity Belfast and I was admitted. On the 18/03/13, I went into labour and was told that my baby wouldn’t survive and that I had to deliver her.

With my fiancé Paul and my mummy by my side, I gave birth to our beautiful baby girl Eva who was placed in my arms and lived for one minute.

Losing a baby is a feeling you can’t describe and walking out of the hospital with a box of memories and leaving my babies behind was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do.

After five pregnancies, we had two children in-between, and our baby boy Jesse was born sleeping at 17 weeks on 18/12/17. I hope my story can give a family comfort that they aren’t alone xx
